Stephen Shields
Stephen Shields is the President of TPC and has specialized in the Industrial Real Estate sector since 1986. In a brokerage capacity, Mr. Shields has represented most of major national trucking companies, as well as numerous private owners of motor freight terminals. To Date, he has completed in excess of 650 freight terminal transactions throughout the United States
In addition to his nationwide expertise in the trucking industry, Mr. Shields has been an exclusive representative for major industrial users such as Hewlett Packard, Nike, Imation (3M), Emery WorldWide, United States Postal Service, Disney and Menlo Logistics. In his capacity as a tenant representative, Mr. Shields has individually leased over 20,000,000 square feet of warehouse and distribution space.
Significant assignments include:
- Exclusive representation of Consolidated Freightways in its bankruptcy liquidation.
- To Date, the 197 transactions exceeded $362 M at 117% of appraised value.
- Disposition of the Jones Truck Lines package of 52 truck terminals nationwide.
- The tenant representation of Emery WorldWide Airlines in its acquisition of ten Priority Mail Processing Centers (PMPC’s) from Miami to Boston.
- Exclusive representation of Hewlett Packard on a campus style manufacturing/distribution complex plus associated warehouses in Richmond, Virginia, which exceeded 1,500,000 square feet in size.
- Exclusive representation of Redwood Systems in its 578,000 square foot distribution facility in Guadalajara, Mexico.
- Exclusive representation of Roadway Package Systems in a ten (10) market expansion encompassing nearly one million square feet.

William F. Vipond, Jr.
William F. Vipond, Jr. is the Executive Vice President of TPC. Mr. Vipond has been active in the commercial real estate arena for the past 12 years and is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. Since 1997, Mr. Vipond has been exclusively managing the surplus property portfolios of Consolidated Freightways and CNF Properties, Inc. In addition to managing TPC’s exclusive clientele, Mr. Vipond has represented such national clients as Con-Way Transportation Services, Emery Worldwide, First Industrial Real Estate Trust, USF and WestEx. In the past 7 years, Mr. Vipond has completed in excess of 400 motor freight transactions.

- Exclusive representation of Consolidated Freightways in its bankruptcy liquidation. To Date, the 197 transactions exceeded $362 M at 117% of appraised value.
- Exclusive management of the surplus properties for Consolidated Freightways (pre-bankruptcy filing) totaling in excess of $50 M.
- Exclusive management of the CNF Properties, Inc. surplus property portfolio with transactions totaling in excess of $25 M.
- Representation of CNF and Con-Way Transportation Services in the sale of their 26.6 acre (158-door) terminal located in Chicago, IL. This transaction was one of the largest motor freight sales ever completed, making the purchaser one of the City of Chicago’s largest single employers.
